I’ve already got MY eggs

*I wrote this post on November 26, but since I already posted something that morning, I saved it up for November 27*

Last night – which was Wednesday night – I was looking for a suitable Vector Illustrations to replace the photo of a Momma duck and her ducklings up in my banner. I searched through hundreds – maybe thousands – of really cute images of pregnant women, and women carrying babies, and men and women together with a baby. There were not too many images that evoked the feeling of “hoping for a baby” or “trying for a baby” – well, there were some that clearly indicated trying, but they were a little too “adult themed” for this blog.

I had narrowed it down to a few options that were not perfect, but that I could live with. One was an image of two Penguins dreaming of baby penguins with a few eggs at their feet. I remarked to JMar “It’s pretty close, but they already have THEIR eggs.” I was implying that it was more symbolic of a couple who are already pregnant, rather than a couple who are trying to get pregnant. JMar replied “Well, so do you.” [already have my eggs, that is]. We both got a little chuckle out of that one.

In the end, I did find a couple of images (first one, second one) that sort of suited what I was looking for. Neither of them is exactly what I am looking for, though, so I don’t think I’ll purchase the right to use either.
