101 in 1001 Challenge
I got this idea from Natalie @ Proud to be a New Jersey Wife, and I am not above using someone else’s great ideas to further my own goals.
The Mission:Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days. The Criteria:Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
*Items in purple have been completed!
*Items in blue are currently in progress
1. Make a complete 101 list
2. Create a new banner and badge for the blog

4. Save (at least) $50 per pay each in Registered Savings Plans towards our “retirement”
5. Close all but one credit card account
6. Pay down our existing debt

8. Buy our first house

10. Have a baby (contingent on #6)
11. Run a home daycare service generating an income comparable to what I currently earn so I can stay home with the child(ren) until they start full time school
12. Own/operate an automotive repair/maintenance garage with Jason
13. Sort through unfinished knitting and crochet projects, decide which to tear out, and which to complete
14. Tear out the projects that are not going to be completed, and salvage as much of the yarn as possible
15. Complete ALL the unfinished knitting and crochet projects before starting any new ones I don’t think I’ll ever truly accomplish this goal, since there are BIG projects that are worked on a few rows at a time, and I start and finish smaller projects while working on the BIG ones.
16. Complete every project in First Knits
17. Knit a pair of mittens
18. Knit a baby sweater
19. Learn how to knit in the round with double-pointed needles
20. Knit a pair of wrist warmers/fingerless gloves in sock weight yarn
21. Knit a pair of socks
22. Knit a sweater for myself
23. Knit an approximately 4″ x 4″ swatch in each pattern in the Harmony Guide – Knit & Purl (250 swatches)
24. Stitch the swatches together into a piecework quilt (approx. 5 ft x 5.5 ft)
25. Organize a local Stitch N Bitch
26. Start a book club
27. Read at least 12 book club books, and attend the corresponding meetings (over the course of 2 years)
